New to Care
Band 2 throughout training, and Band 3 upon successful completion of apprenticeship.
No direct experience is necessary, as full training will be provided however knowledge of working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage. You will need to have a willingness to learn with excellent communication skills. Basic IT skills will be advantageous.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for assisting the qualified nursing team with setting up of the clinical area.
- Looking after patients pre and post procedure and reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
- Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to maintain high levels of patient care and dignity.
- Contribute to clerical duties when required.
- Contribute to cleaning and housekeeping within the department.
- Ensure stock is available as required

- Have recognised qualifications in Maths and English at Grade 3-2 (GCSE grade D-E, Functional Skills Level 1)
- To work a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Willingness to undertake and complete the apprenticeship course within 18 months
- Ability to communicate with members of the public and colleagues
- Presents self as courteous, respectful and helpful
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision, as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- Basic IT skills

- Previous experience in a healthcare environment

You will need to be able to meet all the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the apprenticeship funding rules to undertake the role.
- Be aged 18 or over (due to the nature of the shifts and role)
- Have the right to work and remain in the UK
- Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Provide original evidence of required English and maths qualifications at interview
