An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Support Officer to join the Peri-Operative and Critical Care team, the role involves working closely with clinicians to collect and input data which helps us to contribute to national audit and helps us shape our services and monitor the effectiveness of the care we provide to our patients.

Main duties of the job
- Submit data to national audit
- Work closely with clinical teams
- Produce reports to governance forums
- To monitor data quality and validation, liaising with unit leads regarding issues
- Liaise with system users to ensure rationalisation of data collection and elimination of duplication
- To troubleshoot issues with the database / data submissions
- To provide support to Staff regarding critical care data collection and its application
- To produce routine monthly and ad hoc analytical reports from various data sources in support of the service & the directorate
- Reports/ Data are used for the following:
o Activity Dashboardo Annual Reporto Payment by Resultso Ad hoc reportso Network transfers, outreach activityo Outside agencies- PHE NHSEo Pressure Ulcer surveillanceo Unit acquired infections

- To maintain quality & validation of data used
- The role includes the support of the Ward Watcher system, ICNARC CMP, CCMDS, CQUIN programmes, QIP programmes, Capacity & resource data, National dashboards, managing the flow of data relating to Adult Critical Care within the Trust and to external agencies
