Job summary
We have an exciting permanent opportunity to work as an Advanced Physiotherapist within Stroke Rehabilitation.
The postholder will work on the stroke rehabilitation ward based at Freeman Hospital and, together with another Advanced Physiotherapist, will be jointly responsible for the provision of high-quality patient-centred physiotherapy service provision.
The postholder will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering highly specialist physiotherapy care to stroke patients using advanced clinical reasoning, reflection, and analysis to inform practice.
Additionally, the post holder will provide the day-to-day support and management of other members of the team.
This opportunity would suit someone who is passionate about quality improvement and the provision of stroke rehabilitation, and has senior clinical experience within stroke.

Main duties of the job
- To be an active member of the physiotherapy team delivering a high standard of physiotherapy care to patients within the speciality
- To be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team within the speciality area
- To be a member of the appropriate clinical interest group as applicable to role
- To work into other specialties if required at times of staff shortage
- To be responsible for own continued professional development and assist CPD of other members of the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
- Following a period of in-house assessment, induction and training (as appropriate) to be part of the weekend and bank holiday rota for stroke.
