Job summary
You will be enrolled with a local education provider Kaplan and will be required to complete the Association of Accounting Technicians Apprenticeship Level 3 within 15-18 months of starting. There is a 3 Month initial Assessment, 12-month training period, followed by up to 3 months to complete the End Point Assessment. After which you will be required to sit the Association of Accounting Technicians Apprenticeship Level 4 Apprenticeship.
On successful completion of AAT Level 2, you will automatically be transferred to the Band 3 post and salary.

Main duties of the job
This is an excellent opportunity to assist the Financial Services Team within the Trust. The successful applicant will assist with the timely provision of an efficient, high quality service. The successful applicant will be enrolled within the finance apprentice scheme which will require study toward professional qualification AAT.
The post holder will help ensure transactions are paid or entered in a timely manner. All queries are resolved and all appropriate VAT or discount saving are identified and made. Other responsibilities include scanning of documents and general administrative duties. This post will also include an element of cashiering duties within the main hospital sites.
The successful applicant will have experience working within a busy environment, preferably in an accountancy related role, working to tight deadlines, and will have appropriate skills to effectively communicate with staff at all levels. They will have the opportunity to work in all of the finance departments, gaining fantastic experience.

- Throughout the apprenticeship the post holder will gain experience within the Finance Department, including areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Systems and Controls, Cashiers and Technical Financial Services.
