Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated physiotherapist to join the Orthopaedic physiotherapy team as a band 6 rotational physiotherapist. The band 6 rotations are up to 12 months in length and across 3 clinical areas; trauma, elective, and prehab.

This is an ideal opportunity for an existing Band 6 physiotherapist who would like to broaden their experience by working into this speciality area or for a band 5 physiotherapist wishing to specialise in orthopaedics.

  • 37 hours 30 minutes /week
  • 1 twilight shift per week (elective / trauma rotation until 7:30pm currently)
  • Bank holidays as part of a rota
  • NOC respiratory rota

Main duties of the job

Role and responsibilities:

  • Rotational areas covered are: Trauma, Elective, and prehabilitation (may include community visits).
  • To be an active member of the appropriate multi-disciplinary team within the rotational area, providing specialist advice when needed
  • Following a period of in-house assessment, induction and training (as appropriate), to be part of the emergency duty on-call and weekend rota.
  • Good time management and the ability to work closely with the MDT.
  • As there is a prehabilitation rotation the successful applicant will be required to have a driving licence.
