Job summary
A rare opportunity has became available to work within our small team of linen room staff at the RVI, to provide support with packing and portering of linen, and cleaning of the linen room. Both posts must be flexible to business demands.
Two positions are available
Post 1 07:30-15:30 Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Post 2 07:30-14:00 Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
Prioritise demands from users of the service.Organise, checking, storage and issue of clean linen to end usersEnsure daily linen supplies are packed and sorted for distribution to wards /departments.Ensure daily linen supplies are delivered to wards and departments.Ensuring that newly purchased linen is appropriately marked before it is put into circulation.Organise and prioritise own day-to-day tasks.Use initiative in response to emergency situations regarding linen supplies or shortages.Use equipment within the linen room including heat press, marking/repairmachines.
Ensure the working area is clean and tidy at all times.
