Be an active member of the multidisciplinary team providing holistic care to patients , their families and careers. The role includes acting as floor nurse in theatre and Anaesthetic room. Also having shared responsibility of the departments stock.

Main duties of the job
- Active participation as floor nurse in theatre
- Assist and support other registered professionals in providing patient care throughout the perioperative journey
- Share the responsibility of maintaining stock levels and organisation of store room.

- NVQ Level 3 in appropriate subject or equivalent qualification / experience
- Level 2 Maths and English
Desirable
- Completion of a Trust or other HCA development programme
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Ability to maintain and improve knowledge, skills and competence to ensure high standards of patient care
- Ability to carry out routine elements of assessment to enhance the patient / client journey, following an initial assessment by a registered practitioner
- Ability to meet basic care needs of patients
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Ability to plan, prioritise own and delegated work tasks and activities.
- Previous experience / consolidation of practice as a HCA (evidence of knowledge attained at level 3 using the Qualifications and Credit Framework) or willingness to undertake

- Understanding of basic safeguarding
