Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic audio visual technician to join our award winning simulation team. We support and deliver high quality simulation training to multiprofessional staff across all Trust sites.
We have two simulation centres one based at the RVI and the other at the Freeman Hospital, both sites benefit from bespoke audio visual equipment. You will be instrumental in providing advice, support and training to staff across the trust in relation to our audio visual equipment. You will support subject matter experts with the development and delivery of simulation training both in the centres and in situ. The centres are also equipped with the ability to film and edit simulation scenarios, which can be used as a debriefing tool or training video. As the audio visual technician you will be pivotal in providing this service.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role will be:
- Maintenance and audit of audio visual equipment
- Participate in the day-to-day running of simulation courses.
- Train multidisciplinary faculty in the use of audio visual equipment
- Give advice and support to subject matter experts into the development of simulation courses.
- Produce high quality training material to support simulation training using a range of medium including filming and editing.
- Advise on the procurement of new and replacement audio visual equipment in the centres.
