Admin Team Lead (Pre-Assessment)

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 4 Admin Team Lead to join our Pre-Assessment team in Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.

The role will mainly focus on support to the busy service within Pre-Assessment and will involve supervision responsibilities for junior staff members and general support of the wider administration functions.

You will need to be self-motivated, demonstrate good leadership and organization skills, and be friendly and flexible in your approach with good communication skills and attention to detail.

You will need to work accurately to deadlines, use your own initiative, and be able to prioritize workloads.

You will provide a range of administrative functions and be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of administrative processes and systems that support the multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills, have good knowledge and experience of IT systems and understand information governance and confidentiality principles.

Main duties of the job

You will be an enthusiastic individual who upholds our trust values. A calm, polite and friendly demeanor is essential and some experience of problem solving will prove useful.

You will have supervision of admin staff.

You will be a team player who is self-motivated, demonstrates good organizational and leadership skills, and is friendly and flexible in their approach with good communication skills and attention to detail.

You will have experience in management of people and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

You will provide a range of administrative functions, as well as induction of new staff into the department.

You will be responsible for implementing administrative processes and systems that support the admin team to ensure effective non-clinical management.

You will need to be able to work accurately to deadlines, be able to prioritize workloads and have excellent time management skills.

You should have excellent IT skills and be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet packages and databases with good standard of spelling and grammar.
