Job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the Community Directorate Senior Management Team currently based at the Geoffrey Rhodes Centre, Byker. This is a full time post.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should have an NVQ Level 3 in business administration or equivalent qualification / experience. They will also provide, administrative, and clerical support including good computing and keyboard skills, minute taking and diary management skills.

  • Educated to GCSE standard or Equivalent, NVQ level 3 or previous administrative experience
  • RSA or word processing (or equivalent experience)

Experience and knowledge

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, Scheduler etc.
  • Good computing and keyboard skills, especially data entry and word processing
  • Good standard of education - Excellent interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and organisation skills. (Good telephone manner)
  • Experience of working with the public.
  • Experience of working within an administrative setting.
  • Experience of working with information technology.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a health care setting
  • Previously worked in a multidisciplinary team Understanding and awareness of medical confidentiality
