Job summary
We are looking to appoint full and part time Clerical Assistants to provide a high standard of clerical support to The Community Directorate clinical staff who are based in clinics and bases across Newcastle.
We are looking for reliable, flexible and motivated individuals to support the team. You will be organised and have a good range of communication skills in a range of situations whether written, telephone or face to face
The posts will be to work within the Urgent Treatment Centres, based at The Molineux Centre, Westgate and Ponteland Road Centre and The Single Point of Access Team based at Regent Point supporting the Community Nursing Teams.
The hours of the post will be discussed at interview.
Admin provide clerical support 8 .00am until 10.00pm, 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job
- The post holders will work alongside other clerical staff to evaluate and prioritise workload in a busy environment and respond to the constantly changing needs of the service users in line with local and national targets.
- The potholder will provide a high standard of admin support to clinical staff handling telephone calls, using SystmOne, the clinical record system used in community and receiving requests from patients and carers as well as professionals.

- To receive requests from patients and carers, acute hospitals, GP practices, Social Services and health care agencies.

- To abide by Trust policies and procedures
- To be an effective part of the team contributing to the departmental objectives.
- Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other office duties as required e.g. general tidiness, pre determined stock levels are met and equipment is clean, and stored correctly.
