Job summary

As an Equipment Officer you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high-quality healthcare to the Delivery Suite and the other Maternity Wards. Your role is to be responsible for the setting up, cleaning and storing of equipment. You will be responsible for ordering of stores and monitoring quantity of stock. The Equipment Officer is part of the multidisciplinary team that ensure the cleanliness and safety of the ward environment and equipment. The successful post holder will be expected to act as a role model to others and demonstrate NUTH's trust values of:

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will ensure that the ward is well stocked with vital consumables and supplies. This includes that all equipment is cleaned to the highest standard following local infection control policies and ensures that equipment remains in good working order, reporting any faults or failures to the relevant departments. As an Equipment Officer you can make a real difference to the patients experience in hospital by providing support and a friendly face to patients during their stay.   • Maintain patients privacy and dignity at all times.
