Job summary

If so, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior IT Trainer to join our successful and established IT Training team based within the IM&T Directorate.

As a Senior IT Trainer you will deliver training for new and existing IT systems using multiple methods of delivery from large lecture theatres to individual sessions to virtual delivery.

Alongside delivering training you will support end users remotely or in their place of work which can include offices, wards, theatres, clinics to name but a few.

You will also liaise with project teams to coordinate training of new IT systems.

Essential

  • Degree plus post graduate diploma or equivalent qualification / experience
  • English Language GCSE 4 or above or equivalent
  • Level 2 IT applications qualification (e.g., ECDL).
  • Formal teaching qualification e.g., C&C 6730, CIPD Cert in Teaching Practice.
  • PRINCE2 (Practitioner) or equivalent Project Management experience.

Desirable

  • Advanced Teaching qualification e.g., Certificate of Education.
  • IT Training qualification e.g., TAP.

Knowledge

Essential

  • This challenging post will require the post holder to have a successful track record of contributing to the delivery of complex programmes of training and technology-based change leading to realisation of benefits, ideally in an NHS environment

Desirable

  • Experience of assessment processes and procedures to meet education programme validation requirements and development of learners.
  • Experience of Cerner Millennium applications (PM Office, Scheduling Appointment Book, FirstNet) or Specialist Cerner applications qualification e.g., Cerner Millennium Certified Consultant.
