Job summary
A new post has opened up within the Pharmacy Homecare Team that will help support growth within the Homecare Pharmacy Service.
As a Senior Clerical Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the team whilst we undertake the addition of new drugs, which will deliver significant savings to the Trust. A practice that will hopefully lead to continued growth including being able to take on new services as more effective therapies become available.
The aim is to facilitate growth across our services whilst maintaining an equilibrium and stability across our existing Homecare Services.

Main duties of the job
- Maintain the high standard of administrative work when carrying out routine homecare procedures.
- Support and deliver digital improvements that enhance and streamline our existing practices.
- Ensure procedures are updated and adapted in-line with developing practice with a view to more efficient and succinct recording of patient deliveries, ordering, invoices and prescription management.
- Analysis of financial data to ascertain trends and pick out anomalies, whilst being able to formulate the best route of resolving them.
- Work as part of the wider Homecare team to form a cohesive unit that strives for excellence and positivity reflective of our dedication to patient care.
- Form effective working relationships with internal NHS staff as well as those external to our Trust who are part of our third-party providers.
- Engage in and contribute to group discussions relating to the Homecare service. Advising of how improvements can be made, where potential pitfalls may exist and suggesting how they can be avoided.
- Supporting the Senior Homecare Team with credit control resolution, timely reconciliation of invoice payments as well as effective analysis of current financial statements held between our Trust and our providers.
