Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled workforce information assistant to support the delivery of high quality data and analysis, and take our workforce information to the next level.

As a key member of our team you will play a crucial role in providing essential information that supports the efficient running of our Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have a passion for data analysis and want to work with a supportive and dynamic team.

Main duties of the job

As a HR Workforce Information Assistant you will:

  • Extract, analyse and interpret workforce information data
  • Provide excellent customer service to ESR users across the organisation
  • Perform data quality and validation processes and advise users on data entry best practice.
  • Work closely with other team members to improve the service

The Newcastle Hospitals Workforce Information Team is the nerve centre of our HR department, maintaining ESR to ensure staff data and the reports we produce on it, are complete, correct, and timely. We also embrace new ways of working, employing Robotic Process Automation and Power BI Dashboards to enhance the service we provide.

Qualifications & Education

Essential

  • HND or equivalent experience in an appropriate field (e.g., business, management, administration).
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Expert qualification or equivalent, with practical experience in its use.
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills gained through appropriate qualification or practical experience.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of using reporting tools, for example Business Intelligence, PowerBI and Microsoft packages including advanced Excel
  • Experience of the production, analysis and presentation of highly complex and sensitive workforce-related information.
  • Significant experience of working with data
  • Awareness of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts

Desirable

  • Experience of working with staff at Director level.
  • Knowledge of the Trust's management arrangements
  • Experience of working with ESR
  • Knowledge of the Trust's robotic automated processes

Skills & Abilities
