Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic highly motivated House Keeper / Store Keeper to join the forward thinking team in the new Day Treatment Centre (DTC). The DTC consists of an admission area, 4 operating theatres, a day case assessment area and recovery suite.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an individual who is dedicated to improving patient care.

You will be primarily responsible for housekeeping/ storekeeping in the DTC and we are looking for someone who can work independently as an House Keeper / Store Keeper whilst integrating into the wider MDT.

This centre will enable our teams to carry out thousands of additional low complexity procedures in specialties such as musculoskeletal health (MSK), urology, surgery and some cardiothoracic services, and as such this role is busy yet rewarding job.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity to join our team to help provide efficient support for daycase surgeries from multiple specialties. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking, Housekeeper/storekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times. Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload. It is necessary to have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever-changing workload. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with patients, visitors and other staff throughout the working day. Our Housekeeper/store keeper provides an invaluable service to the patients and team in the Day Treatment Centre.
