Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Children's Outpatients within The Great North Children's Hospital. The Children's Outpatients Department is looking to recruit enthusiastic, caring and committed Health Care Assistants to join our outstanding workforce. We want our Children and Young People to receive the best possible care and the right candidate will need to be passionate, caring, and proactive. Children's Outpatients is open Monday to Friday 08:00hrs -17:30hrs, and we have an evening clinic every Tuesday that runs until 20:00hrs. Children aged 0-18 years attend the outpatient department under a variety of clinics including respiratory, surgery, allergy and immunology, renal and diabetes.

The right individuals will be focused, forward thinking and organised. The successful candidates will be supported by an established Multidisciplinary team and the Manager. You will be responsible in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out observations and procedures. Observations include heights, weights, blood pressures, blood sugars, and urine analysis. You would also be responsible for running ENT clinics and ordering supplies and equipment for the department.
