Job summary

An opportunity has arose to join the large Catering Team and to work within the Catering Department in the Freeman Hospital as a full time Catering Assistant within the Freeman Restaurant. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week between the hours 7am and 7pm.

We serve breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, along with our homemade sandwiches from our Deli Bar, a wide selection of snacks and hot and cold drinks.

We also have a busy Hospitality diary delivering inhouse functions across the Freeman site and other areas of the Trust.

Working 5 days out of 7, including 2 weekends out of 3. Early shift 7am-3pm, Late shift 11:15am- 7:15pm

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role are as follows-

  • Serving customers.
  • Replenishing Stock.
  • Cash handling.
  • Serving Hospitality functions.
  • Clearing tables.
  • Using the dish washer.
  • Keeping the servery area and restaurant clean and tidy.
