Job summary
An opportunity has arisen in the Cardiothoracic Services Directorate. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Receptionist to join our Cardiology Test/Lung Function reception team for a temporary period of 24 weeks from appointment. The Cardiothoracic Services Directorate is a regional and national centre of excellence for cardiac and respiratory care providing some of the Trust's flagship services. We are one of the top units in the UK providing specialist treatment for all types of heart and respiratory related conditions in adults and children across two sites.
The Cardiology Test Reception team deliver a comprehensive and efficient admin service to ensure that patients referred for tests receive their appointments in line with current targets, using the Outpatient waiting list and request queues. There will be opportunity to rotate around the various departments within the Cardiology Test Service providing reception cover in each area.
Successful applicant will be expected to use their own initiative, to work well as part of a team and to promote good working relationships with colleagues. Main duties of the job
You will provide a service to all departments requesting echocardiography, ECGs, Lung Function and our support our Cardiac Rhythm Management Service.
You will be located at the Freeman site but may be required to work across all locations.
Excellent customer care is essential to all users you will be aware of the process and requirements of dealing with patients with special requirements, you will check patients in and out of clinic and great them on arrival. You will arrange new patient and following appointments whilst maintain a professional and helpful manner.
