Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Programme Management Office (PMO) Benefits Manager to join our successful and established Programme Management Office based within the IM&T Directorate of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Trust.

We are looking for a committed, energetic and resilient individual to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. As our Benefits Manager you will work across an extensive and varied digital transformation portfolio, providing advice, support and challenge on the management of programme and project benefits. Your role will make an important contribution to the delivery of digital transformation and optimisation across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

You will be working closely with other change professionals and operational leaders to help define, profile, validate and plan for benefits realisation, providing support and challenge on the quality and viability of claimed benefits.

The role of Benefits Manager will give you the opportunity to carry out analysis of complex qualitative and quantitative data and information providing decision-makers with the insight on expected benefits for Newcastle Hospitals Trust digital transformation portfolio and the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives.

  • Fulfilling the role of benefits manager, managing all the programmedocumentation in line with Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and PRINCE2 standards.

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent experience e.g., IT, Business, Health or have significant experience in an IT change environment
  • Hold a current recognised project management qualification, preferably PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent experience in project management techniques

Knowledge

  • Specialist knowledge across a range of project management procedures and techniques underpinned by theory

Skills & Abilities

Essential

  • Have experience of supporting projects and programmes
  • Be competent with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines including being self-motivated and organising workload
  • Ability to balance, prioritise and progress multiple tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate negotiation and persuasive skills
