FELLOW IN ROBOTIC UROLOGY SURGERY (ST3+ EQUIVALENT)

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.
Doctors who have completed their training in Urology or who are in year 4+ (ST7/ST8) training posts and who have an interest in robotic urological surgery are invited to apply for this post.
The successful candidate will spend time working with Consultant Urological Surgeons at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. They will gain experience in Robotic Urological Surgery.
MRCS Part II or equivalent qualification is essential. Candidates with Higher Surgical Degrees and previous research experience are encouraged to apply.
It is desirable that the successful candidate will already have achieved their CCT.

- GMC Registration.
- FRCS (Urol).

- Experience of care of patients following major surgical procedures.
- Evidence of achieving competence for level of training, equivalent to ST6 Urology.
Desirable
- Basic Experience in MIS/Robotic Surgery (Assisting etc.) and an understanding of the robotic system.
- Completion of basic simulation training in robotic Surgery.
- Previous attendance at robotic courses.
