Job summary
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Administration Assistant within Paediatric Management.

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week. National Minimum Wage at the 23+ rate for the duration of the apprenticeship, then Band 2 on completion.
As part of the apprentice programme, you will learn in the workplace with guidance and support from experienced members of the Paediatric Management team.
To qualify for the apprentice admin role, you must meet the essential criteria of the person specification.

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month's pay.
Main duties of the job
- Receptionist duties i.e. meet and greet visitors to the Paediatric Management Department
- Support Paediatric Management Team staff including photocopying, laminating, filing, distribution of documents to wards, and any other admin tasks required
- Collect and distribute departmental post
- Establish staffing levels on wards each day and report any issues
- Attend meetings, taking minutes and typing and distributing them following a standard template.
- Coordinate charitable donations to the GNCH
