Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operational Delivery Network (ODN) for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to join the ODN Management Team.
ODNs work with NHS England, CCGs, Health Education England and Public Health England to deliver programmes of work to achieve better outcomes for patients. The purpose of the ODN is to drive quality and improve patient pathways and outcomes. This is achieved through engagement and representation from all its member organisations in collaborative partnership, bringing together clinicians to work together in order to promote the highest quality services.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational skills and experience of delivering a wide range of administration and secretarial tasks to a high standard.
The network is currently hosted by Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is based at the Freeman Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The Administrator will support the delivery of the ODN objectives and will form an integral part of the Management Team.
The Administrator will coordinate and organise meetings on behalf of the Network Team, ensure effective management of Network information, and effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders within and external to the Host organisation.
The role will involve some travel throughout the North East and North Cumbria to build knowledge base and assist with administrational requirements off site.

- To maintain and update Network website acting as a central resource for uploading information/enquiries and alerting the wider Network to change and information, informing appropriate members of the Network management team appropriately of received queries and comments.
- Contribute to the department by providing secretarial support to key members of the Network Team or consultants as required.
