Job summary

Band 5 Nurses/ODPs for Day Treatment Centre

We're looking for enthusiastic, NMC registered nurses and ODPs excited at the prospect of joining a new team being assembled for Newcastle's soon-to-open, state of the art Day Treatment Centre

Working in brand new, state of the art facilities, our rotational approach means you will get fantastic exposure across a range of disciplines gaining experience in admissions, anaesthesia, recovery and discharge, concentrating on cardiothoracic, general, orthopaedic and urological day-case treatment

Developing a wide, theatre-based skillset across a range of specialties offers greater variety as you work, whilst equipping you well for future development

The centre will operate Monday to Friday with scope to expand.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is extremely important to us to ensure our staff can fully liberate their potential. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your skills and competencies with dedicated support from our Clinical Educator and the leadership team

Main duties of the job

You should enjoy being constantly on the move and be a team player as you will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, circulating between our four, multispecialty operating theatres to ensure the delivery of high quality, seamless care for our patients
