Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research nurse to join the Research Team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, in our role as a key spoke within the new National Institute for Health Research Commercial Research Delivery Centre where the hub is at University Hospitals of Leicester.
This role is primarily dedicated to supporting commercial research at LPT but depending on demand may be deployed anywhere across the CRDC footprint. As LPT is an integrated community and mental health provider the post-holder will be expected to as a minimum to have an affinity for and experience of the populations served by the Trust and acceptable experience in mental health.

Main duties of the job
Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)
Your main responsibilities will include providing project management and senior skilled nursing care to ensure the safe and efficient running of research studies within the designated facility. This includes ensuring the research has full approval to proceed; screening and recruiting participants, collecting data and data entry. The appointee will also identify barriers to recruitment and assist in finding solutions to overcome these.

You should be adaptable, flexible and show initiative. In addition you will need to good communication skills, be able to liaise with all levels of staff, demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail, have good time management skills and be flexible as the working hours may not be fixed.
Opportunities to develop expertise in other research specialties will potentially be available. You may be required to work in other research areas across the CRDC footprint as needs arise.
