Job summary
We are rapidly expanding our Neurodevelopmental offer to the children and young people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) has a fabulous opportunity to grow our team to positively impact the experience for children, young people and their families.
This post is for 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Please note that this role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours.
The ongoing Neurodevelopment (ND) Improvement Programme has set out to improve the outcomes of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) by identifying the resources committed to their diagnosis and care, agreeing opportunities for improvement and implementing new delivery, finance and workforce models.
Successful candidates will be joining an ambitious and passionate multi-disciplinary team of clinical and administrative colleagues feeding into the ND programme.
Post holders will need to have the skills and character to consistently deliver high quality care and work creatively at pace with colleagues with our CYP and families at the centre.
The successful applicants will be at the core of the exciting work and improvements for our local population; working to make a significant impact to reducing waiting lists and improving access to support for CYP.
Main duties of the job
The principle role of the Senior Healthcare Assistant is to assist the healthcare team in the provision and delivery of programmes of patient care under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners.
This includes:
- Taking physical or psychological measurements from named clients/service users as delegated by the team.
- Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
- Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.
- Under the supervision of healthcare professionals assist the healthcare team with the planning, organising and provision of clinical care.
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals.
- Assisting Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Accurately recording patient information.
- Provides support and supervision to other colleagues and learners as appropriate.
