Job summary

Assistant Psychologist (37.5 hours, Fixed-Term Contract - One Year).

Does the idea of bringing high-quality care and innovation to the heart of CAMHS excite you? Do you thrive working in complex environments that require adaptability and creativity? Are you committed to working compassionately with young people and the systems around them? If so, we could be just what you're looking for.

This role involves working between the CAMHS Intensive Community Support Team (ICST) and Beacon inpatient unit. ICST provides an intensive community alternative to inpatient admission and works closely with The Beacon to ensure best outcomes for young people facing mental health crises - we are proud of the strong working relationships between the teams.

The young people you will be working with are likely to present with neurodiversity, emotional dysregulation, trauma histories and high-risk behaviours.

The teams are committed to offering psychologically-informed support to ensure the best possible care. Good supervision from a clinical psychologist will be in place to support you in the role.

Across the service there is a trust-wide AP support group, as well as a rolling programme of CAMHS training to ensure your growth.

There is ongoing work across the Trust to embed anti-racism across services to ensure they are accessible, effective and safe places for the diverse communities we serve.
