Assistant Psychologist (37.5 hours, Fixed-Term Contract - One Year).

This role involves working between the CAMHS Intensive Community Support Team (ICST) and Beacon inpatient unit. ICST provides an intensive community alternative to inpatient admission and works closely with The Beacon to ensure best outcomes for young people facing mental health crises - we are proud of the strong working relationships between the teams.
The young people you will be working with are likely to present with neurodiversity, emotional dysregulation, trauma histories and high-risk behaviours.
The teams are committed to offering psychologically-informed support to ensure the best possible care. Good supervision from a clinical psychologist will be in place to support you in the role.
Across the service there is a trust-wide AP support group, as well as a rolling programme of CAMHS training to ensure your growth.
There is ongoing work across the Trust to embed anti-racism across services to ensure they are accessible, effective and safe places for the diverse communities we serve.

Main duties of the job
You will be involved in, amongst other things:
- Supporting in the roll out of a new and exciting day provision within the inpatient setting.
- Overseeing routine screening and outcome measures within the service - creating systems and databases to facilitate this and supporting MDT colleagues with interpreting outcome data.
- Conducting case note reviews to inform comprehensive assessments.
- Facilitating and supporting groups with young people, parents and staff.
- Developing resources to support clinical work.
- Doing direct intervention work with young people.
- Supporting formulation within the teams.
- Liaising with CAMHS colleagues and external agencies.
- Facilitating and supporting psychological assessments.
- Contributing to audit, research and service development projects.
