Job summary
Job Overview The role of the Mechanical Team Supervisor is to provide a comprehensive Healthcare engineering maintenance service to all wards and departments within a multidisciplinary environment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures. Supporting and supervising a team of mechanical technicians carrying out planned and reactive maintenance task to a high standard that is commensurate with the skills and experience for the role. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and compliant mechanical maintenance service, including staff & sub-contractor management. You will liaise with all levels of medical and NHS staff whilst building & maintaining effective relationships with client & service providers. The post holder will be required to participate in the Estates out of hours on-call service, including weekends and bank holidays. The post holder has freedom to use own initiative and judgement in terms of how the role is undertaken, however where appropriate, approval will be required from senior Trust management and/or project boards. Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities) To demonstrate the Trusts values in everything you do in the work environment and live up to LPTs Leadership Behaviours. To be responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trusts resources that you utilise. Ensure that the ordering and procuring of workplace resources/consumables are undertaken effectively and in accordance with LPTs financial policies and procedures. To manage stock control and monitor procurement which delivers effective utilisation and management of the budgets in delivering the service. Manage and monitor the timely submission of time sheets and sickness records on weekly/monthly basis and to maintain statistical information as required. To include the approval of annual leave (via Health Roster and/or ESR), overtime, additional work, and on-call payments for staff. Authorised signatory for orders and payments for maintenance supplies and an authorised signatory for approved budget. To work within set budgets, without jeopardising statutory standards.
