This is an opportunity to work within clinical neuropsychology services both in inpatients and outpatient services. The inpatient service is a regional service supporting people with the most severe and complex acquired brain injuries including those in prolonged disorders of consciousness. The outpatient service supports those over the age of 16 to live with a range of neurological conditions including epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. The are opportunities to develop skills in assessment and intervention from a neuropsychology framework.
We would consider applications from Band 7 newly qualified psychologists on a preceptorship basis.
The post is advertised at 30 hours per week (0.8 WTE) although we would consider applications from those who would be interested in fewer hours/or would consider job share for this role.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve neuropsychological assessment and intervention across the above services. There will be opportunities to be involved in group work and working with MDTs across the neurological rehabilitation pathway. We are looking to continue to develop our family support structures as well providing neuropsychological input to the whole family system.
As well as individual work, the successful candidate will be part of delivering training across the region. We have strong links with the doctorate training course providing teaching and placements routinely. Staff across neuropsychology services are encouraged to be research active through a variety of forms including supporting multi-centre research, local service evaluation as well as providing trainee research supervision.
The neuropsychology services are a supportive group of clinicians with regular CPD, reflective practice and peer supervision networks both locally as well as with links across the Midlands region. We are keen to support those who would wish to pursue further post-doctoral qualifications in neuropsychology.
