Clinical Operational Lead - Occupational Therapist

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a flexible, enthusiastic, and committed Occupational Therapist to work in the Clinical Operational Lead role in the Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS) which is integral to Community Health Services. The CINSS model of care involves transformation and partnership working across organisational and multi professional boundaries. The successful candidate will join a specialist multi-professional team comprising of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Neuropsychology, Generic Rehabilitation Technical Instructors and Neurology Rehabilitation Consultant, working closely with Speech and Language Therapy services. The team provides patient centred, Excellent management, leadership, organisational, communication and team working skills are required. You will need clinical skills and experience working in the field of stroke or neurology, experience working within the community setting would be desirable. You will have responsibility for a clinical caseload alongside the day-to-day management of a team providing clinical and operational leadership and supervision to Allied Health Professional's to support care delivery for patients on the CINSS caseload. Main duties of the job

To lead and manage the CINSS teams within a locality hub, taking overall responsibility for the assessment, management and evaluation of rehabilitation delivery to patients in a variety of community settings. To act as a clinical role model and support care delivery for patients on the CINSS caseloads. To promote effective teamwork within the wider Primary and Secondary Health Care Teams, delegating activities appropriately, to the benefit of the patient and service delivery, and acting as part of the hub leadership team. To act as a key point of contact for GPs, other general practice staff and social care providers and other agencies, and support the CINSS team at locality level. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the CINSS team within a locality hub. To monitor the quality of care provision and to identity and promote areas for service development. To be responsible for the performance of the team and individuals within it. To support the Clinical Service Manager for CINSS in delivering high quality care that delivers best value, and meets the requirements of commissioners. To work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure high quality, integrated and seamless care is delivered. This post requires an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist who will work closely with existing Clinical Operational Leads, Specialist Occupational Therapists, Specialist Physiotherapists and the wider multi disciplinary team.

Excellent management, leadership, organisational, communication and team working skills are required. You will need clinical skills and experience working in the field of stroke and/or neurology, experience working within the community setting would be desirable. You will have responsibility for a clinical caseload alongside the day to day management of a team providing clinical and operational leadership and supervision to Allied Health Professional's to support care delivery for patients on the CINSS caseload.
