As a Band 6 clinician the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provides the ideal environment for you to expand your existing skills.
This service is particularly aimed at offering early intervention to children and young people experiencing mild not moderate mental health difficulties.
MHST's main therapeutic approach is Low Intensity CBT via 1:1 or groups within an education setting. As an experienced practitioner, your existing skills and knowledge will be a vital part of the team.
We are passionate about supporting & empowering children, young people & families to make informed choices, supporting our team to be autonomous, skilled practitioners.
We are committed to helping our staff learn & develop new skills, supporting our team to become highly trained in delivering care to our patients.
We work across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, with teams working across different localities.
City localities: South, West, East, North, North West and Central.
County localities: Charnwood, Loughborough, Harborough, Hinckley & North West Leicestershire, Blaby District, Oadby & Wigston and Melton & Rutland
Main duties of the job
As a registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist OR a registered Low Intensity CBT practitioner (EMHP or CWP) you will work in Educational Settings supporting children young people, their families and carers to promote best practice.
In addition, you will provide clinical supervision and line management to EMHPs and CWPs in the service.
