We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Inpatient Team at Stewart House, based in the LE19 area of Leicester. Stewart House is a Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit providing care for patients who are experiencing both physical health and mental health conditions. Our patients are in separate male and female areas with an age range is from 18 to 65+. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals who want to help make a difference in the lives of patients and are passionate about working in mental health.
We need people who can join our dynamic multidisciplinary team, who can build a positive therapeutic working relationships with our patients to support them to develop the skills to enable them to return to the community and be able to function at optimal level.

Main duties of the job

Please note that the Health Care Support Workers work a rota system of Long Days (12.5 hr shifts) Day and Night covering a 7-day working week. We can offer Part time and Full time posts, however the minimum you will be required to work is 23 hours per week.
These are permanent roles not bank roles and candidates will require their own right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer sponsorship.
About the role:
You will be taking physical health measurements as well as completing mental health observations which involves you being vigilant and aware of the ward environment.
Supporting patients in maintaining their health and wellbeing. Undertaking clinical and specified delegated duties, providing audits and data collection.
Escorting patients if needed.
Ensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment which promotes equality.
Ensuring that each patient and colleague is treated with respect as an individual despite any differences.
