We have a fantastic job opportunity for several Band 3 Health Care Support Workers within our Community Mental Health Team in Older Persons Service. We are offering a permanent full-time post working from Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00. The posts are in South Leicestershire and West Leicestershire CMHTs. The South team is currently based at the Neville Centre and the West Leicestershire team is based in Hinckley.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who would be able to work autonomously within a wider Community Mental Health team. We are looking for an individual who is committed to provide best possible care to our client group and will demonstrate our Trust values in their everyday work.

Both teams are a part of the Mental Health Services for Older People. The teams consist of qualified and unqualified nursing staff, Consultant Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists and Admin staff and we have close links with GPs and community health services, other Mental Health services and Social Services. We work in a multi-disciplinary way, and we have a holistic recovery focused approach to our care provision.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will besupporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing, undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities under the supervision of healthcare professionals, in addition toassisting the healthcare team with the planning, organising and provision of clinical care.

The post holder will also be tasked withensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals, assisting Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans and accurately recording patient information, providingsupport and supervision to other colleagues and learners as appropriate.

Our Health Care Support Workers are valued members of the team, and we will expect you to;

Work alongside your team members to contribute to the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Work under indirect supervision of qualified professionals

Carry out delegated tasks as identified by the qualified professionals in the care plan.

Support patients to maintain their health and well-being and support their carers

Undertake specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities
