Job summary

We want a Consultant Psychiatrist who can Deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patents and carers The post holder will be required to work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity Provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team along with expert advice to our hospital and community specialists, managers and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care and future strategic directions. The Consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the General Practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant. A specimen timetable illustrating how the consultant timetable may be arranged within the current framework can be found in the attached job description. You will engage with the development of your Job Plan.

We are now seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment community mental health services on a full time or part time basis.  We are really pleased that you are seeking a career at LPT, you will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically to drive forward innovation delivering the best effective care for our patients.

You will be receiving a £7,500 recruitment and retention premia, which will be paid over the 3 years on top of your salary and a relocation package up to £8000*

  • MRC Psych or equivalent
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of the interview date

  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment

Desirable

  • . Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or
