We are now seeking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment community mental health team on a full time or part time basis.  We are really pleased that you are seeking a career at LPT, you will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically to drive forward innovation delivering the best effective care for our patients. 

You will provide medical and psychiatric support to the Consultant Psychiatrists working in the service area and in the management and urgent psychiatric care of patients.  The role will also involve working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Every opportunity will be given to encourage personal initiatives, research, specialist interests, teaching, training, supervision, and leadership, as well as arears of professional specialist interest you may have.

You will already have a minimum of 4 years’ experience at Resident Doctor Training level or above, of which a minimum of two years will be in the relevant speciality, hold registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise and have/be eligible for approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.  Possession of MRCPych or equivalent is desirable.  For those without MRCPsych training towards this will be supported, if desired.  This is also a great opportunity for those who are working towards entry onto the Specialist Register via the Portfolio route.

  • GMC Registration and Licence to practise

  • Completed at least four years full time postgraduate training (or equivalent) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in the relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in the relevant specialty or
