Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader/Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment.

The post is open to experienced practitioners from a variety of disciplines including nursing, social work, and occupational therapy who are passionate and motivated. This is an opportunity to join our busy crisis service, as a team lead and senior Mental Health Practitioner, requiring the successful post holder to have both clinical and operational responsibilities. Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team provides an assessment and home treatment service where intense input is required to prevent hospital admission or support early transition from hospital. You will lead the Crisis Team, to deliver a 7 day a week Mental Health Crisis service for a geographical area.

You will need to be a motivated and dynamic leader who can inspire and motivate your team to provide high quality clinical care The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently, also demonstrate flexibility in the way they work and able to take on different roles within the pathway, ensuring a clear leadership vision is maintained.

This service will operate 365 days a year over a 24-hour rotation providing cover day and night. As part of the role, staff will be expected to work shift patterns (not usually nights)

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Team Lead, you will be working within the leadership structure of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service. The post holder will be expected to ensure the team adopts the policies and philosophy of LPT. The Clinical Team lead will promote independence, foster a learning culture, and enhance the autonomy of the service user, and ensuring high quality, compassionate, person-centred care.

The post holder will clinically, and professionally lead Crisis and Home Treatment Service and will provide supervision to the team members. Through strong leadership they will ensure evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of and shape responsive services.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that established clinical mechanisms support safe, high-quality care throughout the 24-hour period. The post holder will be required to clinically co-ordinate and lead a multi-agency staff team and ensure the provision and development of an effective service in line with legislative, procedural, and contractual requirements.

The post holder will provide strong and effective clinical leadership Above all the post holder will ensure provision of a safe, culturally competent, effective, timely and accessible service that is in accordance with national and local priorities and responsive to the needs of individuals in contact with the service
