Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic individual with proven clinical, leadership and communication skills. The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support to locality integrated teams to develop high quality equitable services for patients with identified continence needs.

You will provide specialist clinical skills and knowledge to patients, carers, and staff to support the promotion of continence and management of incontinence.

You will be flexible and adaptable to accommodate a challenging and changing environment, and able to work on your own initiative.

The post holder will -

Ensure the assessment of patients with complex continence needs or who require specialist interventions in a range of community settings including home, care homes, clinics and community hospitals.

Advise and support in the instruction in intermittent self-catheterisation.

Manage, develop, co-ordinate and enhance the role of clinical staff within the team.

Deliver nurse led Level 2 assessments.

Monitor use of products and achieve efficiencies, providing value for money.

Conduct grievance investigations and staff performance reviews.

Analyse a range of facts and complex data, identifying route causes of issues and working with others to resolve them.

Ensure the service maintains operational efficiency at all times through workforce management.

Communicate with patients and service users, written and verbally regarding queries and complaints.

Main duties of the job

  • Manage admin staff, conduct sickness reviews, investigate grievances and disciplinary cases.
  • Conduct appraisals for team of staff.
  • Allocate work to clinicians.
  • To demonstrate the Trusts values in everything you do in the work environment.
  • To be responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trusts resources that you utilise.
  • Delivery of effective healthcare within the organisation.
  • Establishing effective leadership and communication.
  • Clinical Governance, reduction of risk, audit and research.
  • Management and use of resources and information.
  • All records that the role is responsible for or modifies must be kept up to date and maintained in an accurate and diligent manner.
  • Operating with quality in everything you do and maintaining a safe environment.
