Job summary
As part of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) mental health transformation programme, we are looking to recruit a full time Mental Health Neighbourhood Lead on a fixed-term basis, to join our Neighbourhood Lead team.
It will be your responsibility to work collaboratively to define, develop and coordinate improvements for mental health within the neighbourhood and contribute towards delivering commitments within the local health & wellbeing plans and strategies.
We are recruiting the role to lead this work in the borough of Oadby & Wigston, Leicestershire. Whilst Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting to the role, the team also reports to the Integrated Care Systems Mental Health Team. Your day-to-day interactions will be with senior and frontline practitioner colleagues from organisations within the neighbourhood, including and not limited to; GPs and primary care, secondary mental health, social care, local authority departments and the voluntary and community sector.
This role will require someone who can work collaboratively and who can develop strong relationships between organisations.
Main duties of the job
Whilst a full Job and Person specification is attached to this advert, key elements of the role will include (but not be limited to): Developing plans and facilitating projects to respond to local and local priorities.
Building and nurturing relationships between organisations and practitioners to enable integrated and joint working.
Analysing progress, evaluating and reporting back via written and verbal means to key committees and governance groups. Managing and coordinating any delegated budgets and resources Present within the neighbourhood; Linking and connecting with key services and stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate will have an excellent understanding of and be committed to improving mental health and wellbeing. Have the qualifications and experience as highlighted in the Person Specification. Be experienced in facilitating and managing projects and schemes with proven skills in working to deliver change and improvement.
Having experience in working closely with or with a range of partners including but not limited to primary care, secondary care, local authority and the voluntary community sector. Demonstrate adaptability, excellent communication skills and self-motivation. Be able to demonstrate appreciation and understanding of population needs, particularly in relation to health inequalities.
