Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in improving the experience of an admission to hospital to take on the role of Meaningful Activities Coordinator.
The post will require you to develop, plan and deliver therapeutic, social and recreational activities for groups and individuals. The aim of these activities is to make a positive difference to our patients stay on the ward, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
The post is based at Coalville Community Hospital on Ward 4 which provides sub-acute care and rehabilitation with a focus on assessing patients for admission to a residential home or return to their own home following an acute hospital stay. We work with patients and their families from their admission to the ward through to discharge. You will be working with an experienced therapy team consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Technical Instructors. We are a friendly and caring team working closely with the ward MDT always with the patient at the centre of everything we do whilst also involving families and carers.
