We have a part time, 22.5 hour receptionist vacancy within our Estates and Facilities Directorate. The role is working at Springfield Road Health Centre, hours 8-1.30pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Receptionist you will provide a comprehensive, high quality and efficient reception service ensuring effective communications and strict confidentiality is maintained at all times.

You will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients and visitors to site. Prompt, polite and courteous telephone call handling, providing information, redirecting calls as and when required in a professional manner.

You will support the facilities team in planning and administration achieving an effective and efficient service provision.

Main duties of the job

  • Receive and distribute incoming post, receive external post, frank and/or prepare for collection via porters or Royal Mail.
  • Maintain a register of rooms and users details.
  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors to site.
  • Booking meeting rooms, clinic rooms & managing hospitality bookings.
  • To promptly and efficiently deal with all calls to the reception in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • General admin.

We are recruiting across various sites and some roles will be mobile therefore may not suitable for public transport but if you live within Leicester one of the sites may be within your community.

  • GCSE English Language Grade C (new Grade 4) or above.
  • GCSE Maths Grade C (new Grade 4) or above.

Desirable

  • RQF (Previously NVQ) Business & Administration Level 3 or equivalent skills and knowledge.
  • City & Guilds Typewriting Level 2 or above, or can demonstrate equivalent skills.

  • Dealing with complaints or other emotive situations with sensitivity, diplomacy and confidentiality.
