Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to work as a Finance Assistant within our large Community / Mental Health Trust with an annual income of c£367m.
The role is within Financial Management where you will provide support and advice to all levels of clinical and managerial staff within the Directorate(s).
The role will assist the Financial Developments Team in providing systems support for budget holders and the Finance function.
The post holder will also work with the finance team, to produce timely Service Line Reporting (SLR) information. Assist with developing and maintaining a Patient Level Costing System (PLiCS) within the Trust.
A part-qualified accountant to AAT technician level and with experience and knowledge of Financial systems including general ledgers, you will bring considerable technical expertise to the role.
As comfortable working with people as you are with figures, you will also ensure that we provide a continually improving financial management service
Main duties of the job
To support the Directorate Finance Manager
- To support the Clinical Directorates within the Trust
- To assist the Financial systems team and budget holders with queries and advice regarding the General Ledger and finance systems
- Assist in the development of the Trusts Service Line Reporting system
- Assist in the development and reporting requirements of the Trusts Patient Level Costing and Information System
- Provide ad hoc costings as required
