Job summary

Are you an Education Mental Health Practitioner who has experience in delivering low intensity therapy to children and young people? Do you want to be a part of a supportive and friendly team?

The role is aimed at providing educational based support to Children and Families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, in line with mental health intervention.

You will work alongside other professionals and be part of a team that supports a cluster of around 20 schools and colleges each.

Main duties of the job

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are a nationally driven initiative which offers mental health early intervention and prevention to children and young people. This is via low-intensity CBT both on a 1:1 basis and via groups within education settings.

  • Possess CYP-IAPT accredited Education Mental Health Practitioner training (post grad EMHP diploma) qualification or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others
  • Experience of working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Experience of working with anxiety disorders
  • Experience of working with affective (mood) disorders
