The Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team are looking for a organised and motivated individual to work as Band 4 Senior Business Assistant. This role involves providing high level support to the clinical team and line managing designated administrative staff.

This role will include working at The Valentine Centre, Leicester from 12:00-20:00 Monday-Thursday.

Main duties of the job

The role is diverse with each day bringing new challenges. You will have proven ability in using your own initiative, showing attention to detail and have the ability to work accurately, whilst understanding and adhering to Trust Policies and local procedures.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, outlook and excel.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload for themselves and others, ensuring that deadlines are met and all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • High level of written, verbal and face to face communication skills. Demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals at all levels in health and external agencies and service users and their families.

  • Experience of working as an administrative supervisor/team leader which includes supervising or line managing staff, including planning, work allocation, performance, absence and recruitment and selection.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise the diaries and workload of self and others (aligned manager) without direct supervision, whilst working to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of receiving, recording and relaying complex information via telephone.
  • Experience of electronic diary management and also communicating effectively via email, including implementing a flagging/prioritisation system for self and others.
  • Dealing with complex complaints or other emotive situations with sensitivity, diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Able to work under pressure with conflicting demands and interruptions, maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Commitment to Equality & Valuing Diversity Principles
  • Understanding of Confidentiality & Data Protection.

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade A to C in English
  • GCSE grade A to C in Maths
  • ILM Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
