Job summary
We are pleased to advertise another psychology post in our adult mental health Treatment & Recovery Team in East Leics. We have a healthy structure with Psychologists in senior lead roles so there are clear career paths. Our psychologists employ the full range of skills: teaching, training, research, service development, managerial and clinical supervision, team supervision, reflective practice and interventions.
Depending on your aspirations and interest this post could potentially be amalgamated with another post we have advertised for an 8b Psychologist working into our Therapies for People with Personality Disorders service (Ref: C9313-24-0436).
You will lead other qualified Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists, Clinical Psychologist Trainees and Mental Health Well-being Practitioners, working together to develop the Psychology provision. We welcome applications from those looking to step up to this grade.
This post attracts a Welcome Bonus. This comprises of an initial payment £1,800 pro rata to hours worked, payable with your first salary, a further payment of £1,800 pro rata to hours worked after 12 months service and and a final payment of £1,400 pro rata to hours worked after 18 months service. Qualifying criteria and Scheme Rules do apply, including a minimum tenure in post of 24 months to avoid any repayment. Full details are available on request.

Main duties of the job
The Treatment and Recovery Team is multidisciplinary, including Peer Support Workers, Community Connectors, Health Care Support Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Nurses and Occupational Therapists. It works closely with the local voluntary, community and social enterprise agencies, as well as social care, to support the community.
Clinical Psychology is a valued part of the wider team. Alongside providing specialist clinical psychology assessment and therapy, a key aspect of the role involves offering advice, consultation on psychological aspects of care to mdt colleagues, with a view to ensuring that the needs of service users are holistically considered and addressed. Team members also value regular group supervision, reflective practice and learning.
We are developing a multi-professional leadership model which involves you as the lead psychologist working collaboratively with other senior members of the team to oversee and develop the team's practice and function. You will also manage, and offer clinical supervision to, other psychologists within the team.
As part of an extensive wider psychology structure you will, through regular networking and supervision, be supported to apply the range of Clinical Psychologist capacities thereby developing yourself and our offer.
