Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists to work in the Home First and Community Therapy Service working alongside fellow Clinical Specialist OTs and Physio, receive regular supervision and appraisals. A training programme is in place and a comprehensive induction package.

You will be joining an integrated health and social care teams and will allow you to use your therapy skills tosupport people in their homes when they are having a health or social care crisis, rather than going into hospital or a care home.

Help people get home from hospital quickly, provide them with rehab and reablement to restore their health, wellbeing and independence.

Deliver high quality therapy reablement, rehab and recovery to people within their own homes.

We welcome applications from band 5 Occupational Therapists who have completed their probation period and are looking to develop skills and progress into a band 6 position. We have established a Band 5 Development Programme which enables Band 5Occupational Therapiststo work towards developing the skills required to practice as a Band 6Occupational Therapists.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for providing a professional Occupational Therapy service and carrying an agreed caseload under the supervision of Senior Occupational Therapy staff.

To work with other Therapy staff in a multi-disciplinary format.

To deliver an Occupational Therapy service to patients within a variety of settings requiring flexibility and adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments.
