Job summary
Are you passionate about developing staff clinical skills and best evidence-based practice?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with community nursing experience to come and join our community nursing team.
The role will be instrumental in ensuring our existing community nursing teams and new staff members are developed to their full potential in terms of clinical skills and improve the patient journey. Community nursing patient complexities are ever increasing, and we want to ensure we have a highly skilled and competent community nursing team for the future.
You will be working with staff members on an individual basis to equip them with the hands-on clinical skills required to meet our patients needs, as well as providing group sessions to your colleagues to give them the underpinning theory. You will be expected to ensure your own skills are maintained at an excellent standard through undertaking regular clinical practice, training, and clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
Providing hands on nursing care with staff members to share best practice and knowledge for them to develop their skills and competencies within agreed timescales.
To promote effective use of Systmone electronic records.
To promote integrated working across professional boundaries and specialities.
To provide up to date data to the Senior District Nurse and Matron relating to any clinical skills gaps and to work with the senior district nurse to identify a strategy plan to address any gaps.
Visit patients autonomously in a community nursing capacity to ensure skills and service understanding are kept up to date.
