The Psychosis Intervention and Early Recovery (PIER) team supports people in the community that are experiencing their first episode of Psychosis (FEP) and the team is dedicated to engaging, supporting, and empowering those who are experiencing FEP.

We are a relatively large team that consists of Nurses, Occupational therapists, Psychologists, Psychological therapists, Support time recovery workers, Peer Support workers, Medical experts, Social workers and a dedicated admin and support service.

Main duties of the job

To work as either a Care Coordinator or Lead professional for a caseload of service users aged between 14 and 64. You will act as a duty worker and take part in assessing referrals into the team, you will also take part and lead the MDT on a rotational basis

Please note own transport or suitable alternative will be required as dependence on public transport is not suitable for this role.

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, physiotherapist or psychologist.
  • Qualifications (Equivalent qualifications will be considered where their equivalency can be demonstrated).

Desirable

  • Non-medical Prescriber or willing to work towards (those with NMC Registration only).

  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility dependent upon work priorities.
  • Able to make judgements based on evidence based practice and translate this for use in the clinical team environment.
  • To be able to demonstrate understanding of current developments in the NHS and their implications for leadership and quality care for clients/service users.
  • Ability to operate a computer to use standard Office programmes and Electronic patient record systems.
  • Significant experience of undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments.
