We are looking to employ qualified and experienced CBT Therapists to join our fantastic team in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for young people with a diagnosed mental health condition.
The role will include working as a specialist cognitive behavioural psychotherapist as part of psychological therapy and psychology services and within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and care pathways. To provide a comprehensive, highly specialist cognitive behavioural psychotherapy service to young people with complex problems for which CBT is evidenced to be clinically effective. This includes working with children and adolescents who may present with severe and treatment resistant disorders with co-existing conditions. To use a broad theoretical knowledge base to analyse, interpret and compare complex information to provide specialist cognitive behavioural assessments and formulations that inform highly skilled CBT interventions.
Main duties of the job
To work as a highly skilled autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload under clinical and case management supervision. To offer consultation and guidance to other mental health professionals, other treatment pathways and community colleagues. To contribute to the ongoing development of CBT practice considering advances in treatment, theory, and research. To maintain specialist CBT knowledge and skills and BABCP accreditation.
The post holder will communicate across language and cultural barriers, working with interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. To work remotely as necessary and to work from a base, in patients' homes or in outdoor spaces and clinics at across LPT sites, adhering to all the Trusts standard operating procedures and health and safety guidance.

- Post qualification experience of delivering specialist cognitive behavioural psychotherapy for adults and/or children/adolescence with a range of mental health problems. For example, depression, OCD or PTSD.
- Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Ability to adjust clinical practice to respond to the diversity of service users.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively adapt and deliver specialist cognitive behavioural psychotherapy to patients with special needs or disabilities.
Desirable

- Evidence of continuing professional development in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy to the standards of core professional body and the BABCP.
Desirable
- A core mental health professional qualification and registration with the appropriate statutory professional regulatory body i.e., NMC, HCPC.
- EMDR qualification.
