Our roles
We have full time opportunities for Clinical Psychologists to join our team in the CAMHS Generic Outpatient service and/or CAMHS Learning Disability Service with an exciting option for a split post(s) to work across the two services- strengthening and developing service links.
Part time hours/flexible working will be considered in line with service need.
Roles are being offered at Band 8a or Band 7 development post with the opportunity for progression to Band 8a within a supported structure. The responsibilities adjusted accordingly and upon completion of required competencies under a developmental plan as agreed and reviewed with managers. Those in the final year of their training are strongly encouraged to apply.
For new LPT employees, a RECRUITMENT & RETENTION PREMIA is applicable for this role,as follows:
Three years Total £ 2000 per NEW employee ONLY (Subject to tax and NI and non pensionable). After 6 Months service £500. After a further 18 months service, an additional £500. After 36 months service, balance of £1000 Please note that this scheme is subject to rules, a copy of which is available on request.

Our CAMHS services are committed to advancing equity of access, experience and outcome for children and young people in our local communities and have a range of service development initiatives underway, such as the Together Against Racism joint endeavour alongside NHFT.
Both posts offer a mix of opportunities for therapeutic work as well as drawing on your leadership skills. In a supportive environment, you will be encouraged to develop your competencies and support the contribution of psychology in developing a psychologically-informed environment and service offer. By working with a range of MDT colleagues (for example, psychotherapy, SALT, OT, Medics, Nursing staff, Therapeutic Social workers) you will play an active role in a dynamic and committed team.
Opportunities to manage complexity and work within a context of competing priorities will develop your core competencies. Alongside this, there will be scope to develop and shape your special interests where these align with the needs of the service and communities we service.
