Job summary
The Learning Disability and Autism Service (LD&A) at Leicester Partnership Trust are seeking passionate and experienced leader as part of our Inpatient unit within LD&A services.The role will provide clinical and professional Leadership across our Assessment and Treatment unit.
The service is undergoing a process of investment and quality improvement and this will be key to ensuring the voice of this service is represented, as well as supporting the development and design of services. The role will be an additional Band 7 role, to support the increased staff development for the unit and our commitment to provide leadership across a 7 day week.

Main duties of the job
To manage and take overall responsibility for care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership and guidance, clinical advice and management in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality:
o Patient safety
o The effectiveness of all health care interventions
o Patient experience
o The environment in which care is delivered
To ensure the delivery of a clinically effective service which meets the needs of individuals, families and communities in line with local and national development plans, Trust policies and procedures.
The post holder will carry 24 hour responsibility and professional and managerial accountability, which includes management of staff, budgets, quality and standards of practice.
To have overall responsibility to ensure that a personalised service to clients/service users is delivered in accordance with LPT Trust standards.
The post holder will provide good leadership and management, to develop and sustain a positive working culture.
The post holder will ensure staff are trained appropriately to deliver the care required and ensure supervision and mentorship is in place.
To work collaboratively with other senior nurses across LPT as appropriate and promote the role of their speciality nursing to all stakeholders.
To foster a culture of networking in an open and transparent approach with internal and external MDTs and between all stakeholders.
